FY25 Marine Corps Parachute and Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques Program Safety Inspection Schedule
This MARADMIN establishes the FY25 safety inspection schedule for Marine Corps parachute and Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques (HRST) programs. The inspections will be conducted by MGySgt Gabriel Machado from Naval Safety Command at various Marine Corps units worldwide between December 2024 and September 2025. The message applies to all Marine Corps units with parachute and HRST capabilities and outlines inspection dates, cancellation procedures, and availability of no-cost assist visits.

1. Per reference (a), parachute program safety <br> inspections are to be conducted on all Marine Corps commands with a <br> parachute capability at least once every two years. Assist visits <br> will be provided upon request by the command or as directed by <br> Deputy Commandant, Plans Policies, and Operations (DC, PP&O) (POF). <br> Per reference (b), helicopter rope suspension techniques (HRST) <br> program safety inspections will be conducted at least every two <br> years on all Marine Corps units authorized to conduct refresher <br> training and asist visits, whether requested by a unit or directed <br> by DC, PP&O, Ground Combat Element Branch (POF).<br> 2. These inspections will be completed by MGySgt Gabriel Machado, <br> the Parachute Safety Analyst assigned to the Naval Safety Command.<br> 2.a. Details regarding inspection schedule, checklists, in-brief and <br> results of past inspection will be forwarded to each affected <br> activity via email approximately 90 days prior to the planned <br> inspection visit or upon request by the units being inspected.<br> 4. Conflicts with the unit's mission schedule will be addressed on<br> a case-by-case basis between the unit's leadership and the Naval <br> Safety Command Parachute Safety Analyst.<br> 5. In order to fully meet requirements of references (a) and (b), <br> all cancellations of parachute program and HRST program safety <br> inspections must be initiated by the commanding officers at the <br> regimental level with endorsement from the first general officer <br> in the unit's chain of command. Cancellations of scheduled <br> inspections may require the unit to fund travel expenses for the <br> inspection. Cancellation requests will be communicated via email <br> to the Naval Safety Command Parachute Safety Analyst, MGySgt <br> Gabriel Machado (Gabriel.machado4.mil@us.navy.mil) and HQMC Safety <br> Division (hqmc_safety_division@usmc.mil).<br> 6. The scheduled inspections are at no cost to the units. Assist <br> visits are provided to all commands with a parachute/HRST <br> capability upon request via message or email at no cost to <br> commands and are highly recommended.<br> 7.
