1. The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration, has published Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-10B.1, Tank Platoon, dated 13 December 2012. MCRP 3-10B.1, Tank Platoon, is available for download via the United States Marine Corps doctrine website at https:(slant)(slant)www.doctrine.usmc.mil. 2. Background. MCRP 3-10B.1, Tank Platoon, specifically addresses common tank platoon operating procedures, standard reporting criteria, defensive and offensive actions, and platoon checklists that enable Marine Corps armor units to standardize common platoon administrative, operational, and logistical tasks. It is a dual designated publication in conjunction with the Army. 3. Coordinating instructions. Reference (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies, however, this publication will be disseminated via electronic distribution only unless commanders submit compelling needs justification for printed copies. Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), paragraph 4a(2). For MCPDS identification purposes, the publication control number is 144 000241 00. 4.
