This MARADMIN provides information about Marine Corps birthday celebration resources for 2024, including the Commandant's birthday video, written message, and ceremonial music. The Commandant's birthday video will be released no earlier than 1000 EST on 1 November 2024 via DVIDS, with early access available for units celebrating before that date through SharePoint.

1. This message provides information regarding the
Marine Corps birthday video, the Commandant's written birthday
message, and recorded music to support ceremonies.
2. Commandant's 2024 Birthday Video.
A. The Commandant's 2024 birthday video will be released no
earlier than 1000 EST on 1 NOV 2024. The video will be available via
the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) at the
following URL:

B. Units conducting their birthday ball celebrations prior to 1
NOV 2024 because of operational requirements or scheduling
constraints may have their local Communication Strategy and
Operations (COMMSTRAT) office download the video via sharepoint at
the following URL:
https:(slash)(slash)usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/CD_BIRTHDAY.
C. Individuals requiring the video for inclusion in birthday ball
celebrations are encouraged to register for a DVIDS account prior to
1 NOV 2024 to ensure they can download the video for offline
playback, rather than attempting to stream the video from DVIDS.
D. Requests for DVD copies of the videos should be directed to
the nearest COMMSTRAT office, which will fulfill the request based
on their own capacity and capability.
3. Recorded Music. Traditional birthday music can be downloaded
from the U.S. Marine Band website at
