Awards Update
This MARADMIN provides updates to Marine Corps awards and decorations since the last update (MARADMIN 264/25). It authorizes multiple unit awards including Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, Meritorious Unit Commendations, Combat Action Ribbons, and other recognitions for various Marine Corps and joint units that participated in operations and activities during specified time periods. The message also updates eligibility criteria and participating units for previously announced awards.

Humanitarian Service Medal (HSM) Operation NEPTUNE SOLACE (ONS) 02Mar24-31Aug24 Note: The expansion of the area of eligibility for the HSM for ONS or conducted Air Operations is amended to include the country of Qatar. The HSM has been approved for U.S. Service members, Coast Guardsmen, and Reserve Components (to include the National Guard), who were deployed on orders to the named operations. The area of eligibility includes the land areas of Cyprus, Egypt, Gaza, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Determination of individual eligibility for participating personnel is delegated to the command level O-6/civilian equivalent or above. Commanders who verify individual participation must ensure that the personnel records center of participating Service members are informed for appropriate record update. 7. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Total Force. 8. Ref A is no longer distributed. Instead, Ref A is updated quarterly and maintained on the internet at www.manpower. marines.mil under the MMPB-3 site. 9.
