Results of the Academic Year 2017-2018 (AY17-AY18) Reserve Officer Professional Military Education (RPME) Board

This MARADMIN announces the results of the Academic Year 2017-2018 Reserve Officer Professional Military Education (RPME) Selection Board, which convened on 19 September 2016. The board selected reserve officers for attendance at various Full-Length Schools (FLS), Staff Training Courses (STC), and Distance Education Programs (DEP). The message lists 99 selected officers by grade, name, and assigned school, and provides detailed guidance on orders processing, funding, and individual responsibilities.

1.  The AY17-AY18 Reserve Officer Professional Military Education (RPME) Selection Board convened on 19 September 2016 to select officers desiring attendance at Full-Length School (FLS), Staff Training Courses (STC), and Distance Education Programs (DEP). 2.  Applicants selected as primaries and approved by CMC (RA) will receive correspondence from this headquarters with pertinent information regarding school selection.<br>
3.  The list of officers selected as eligible alternates for RPME will not be published via MARADMIN.  The alternate list by EDIPI can be found by accessing www.manpower.usmc.mil.  Under "top requests," select "Reserve PME."  On the right side of the screen, under "Reserve PME Board," select "AY17-AY18 RPME alternate list."<br>

5.  Orders Processing<br>
    a.  Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR), Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) officers.<br>
        (1) Orders will be generated by parent command using the Marine Corps Reserve Orders Writing System (MROWS).  To provide ample time for routing and travel coordination, orders should be initiated at least 90 days prior to the course convening date using the following MROWS templates:<br>

        (2) Funding for all PME will be provided by MARFORRES AC/S G-3 Training.  For activated officers attending non-resident courses or officers on active duty operational support orders, please contact the POC for this MARADMIN for further guidance.<br>
    b.  Active Reserve officers<br>
        (1) Web Orders for AR officers attending FLS PME will be provided by their respective monitor at CMC (RA).<br>
        (2) Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) orders for AR officers attending non-resident PME will be funded by MARFORRES AC/S G-3 Training.<br>
6.  Selected officers have been screened for eligibility.  Failure To maintain eligibility or meet orders issuance requirements 90 days prior to the course convening date could result in removal from the course.<br>
7.  Individual Responsibilities<br>
    a.  Ensure contact information remains current in MOL.<br>
    b.  Per reference (b), officers selected for resident PME must have orders in hand prior to executing any portion of travel or movement.  Commencement of travel must not occur prior to the dates prescribed on the orders.  Travel entitlements will be IAW reference (b).<br>
    c.  Request cancellation or deferral in writing to CMC (RA) NLT 90 days prior to the course convening date.  Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.<br>
    d.  Questions regarding orders should be addressed to parent command.  The POC for IMA and IRR officers is the MARFORRES customer service center at (toll-free) 800-255-5082 or e-mail the organizational mailbox at csc(at)cdc.usmc.mil.<br>
