Announcement of Reserve Sergeants Major Slate for Calendar Year 2024 (CY24)
This MARADMIN announces the selection and assignment of six Reserve Sergeants Major to various Marine Corps Reserve units for Calendar Year 2024, with assignments effective in January and June 2024. The selected Sergeants Major must submit Inter-Unit Transfers and coordinate report dates with their gaining commands to ensure proper turnover, with tours of duty lasting 24 to 36 months.

2. Per references (a) and (b), the newly assigned Sergeants Major are directed to submit their Inter-Unit Transfer (IUT) via Requirements, Transition, and Manpower Management System to Headquarters Marine Corps, Reserve Affairs (RA) Division.<br>
3. The tour of duty for each newly selected O6-level command Sergeant Major is 24 to 36 months and may be extended an additional 12 months based on the needs of the Marine Corps with a favorable endorsement via the chain of command. All newly assigned Sergeants Major will coordinate report dates with the Sergeant Major of their gaining Major Subordinate Command. The intent is to ensure that a proper turnover will be conducted.<br>
4. Per reference (c), duplicate BIC assignments are authorized for a 90-day turnover if applicable. The gaining command is directed to contact the RA Sergeant Major for appropriate BIC assignment. The RA Sergeant Major will reassign the outbound Sergeant Major to an EX009 BIC and assign the incoming Sergeant Major to the published BIC per the unit verified table of organization. The outbound Sergeant Major must remain assigned to the EX009 BIC until completion of the IUT and transferred to gaining command.<br>
