Continued Suspension of Requirements to Perform Specific Duties for Receipt of Hazardous Duty Incentive Pays
This MARADMIN continues the suspension of requirements for Marines to perform specific duties in order to receive Hazardous Duty Incentive Pay (HDIP) due to COVID-19 impacts. The suspension, which originally covered March through August 2020, is extended from September 1, 2020 through February 28, 2021, or until rescinded. This applies to both active and reserve component Marines.

1. Purpose. To continue the suspension of requirements to perform specific duties for receipt of hazardous duty incentive pays (HDIP). 2. Background. Due to the effects of COVID-19, Marines receiving HDIP may be unable to perform the required duties through no fault of their own. Ref (a) authorized the Marine Corps to suspend the requirement to perform specific duties and allow Marines to continue to receive HDIP. Ref (b) suspended the performance requirements from 1 March through 31 August 2020. 3. Policy. Effective 1 September 2020, the suspension of the duties described in paragraph 4.K.7 of ref (b) remains in effect through 28 February 2021 or until rescinded, whichever occurs first. 4.
