United States Naval Academy Slating for Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19)

This MARADMIN announces the selection process for Marine Corps officer assignments to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) for Fiscal Year 2019. Officers meeting time-on-station and grade requirements must obtain approval from their Primary MOS monitor and submit applications by December 1, 2018, for nine billet vacancies ranging from Captain to Lieutenant Colonel positions including battalion officers, instructors, and staff directors.

1.  The assignment of officers to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) requires high caliber individuals for positions that support the accession of junior officers into the Naval service.  During the month of Dec 2018, a panel comprised of staff from MMOA and USNA will select officers for assignment to billet vacancies during FY19.<br>
2.  Eligibility requirements.<br>
2.a.  Time on station (TOS).  Officers who will complete their prescribed tour, on their current set of orders, NLT 30 September 2019 are eligible.  If an officer does not meet this requirement, the officer must contact their primary MOS (PMOS) monitor to discuss waiver submission requirements.<br>
2.b.  Grade.  Officers who are promoted, selected, or in zone for the solicited billet openings are eligible to apply.<br>
2.c.  Officers who meet the TOS and grade requirements must also have career timing that supports a full 36 month tour at USNA.<br>
3.  Application process.<br>
3.a.  Interested officers must first contact their PMOS monitor for approval to screen on the panel for assignment to USNA.<br>
3.b.  Upon receipt of approval to screen by the PMOS monitor, officers are encouraged to visit http(slash)(slash)www.usna.edu/USMC/index.php, to download and submit the application. The approval correspondence from the PMOS monitor is a prerequisite for submission of the application. If unable to download the application, contact the USNA POC listed below.<br>
3.c.  The deadline for application submissions is 1 Dec 2018.<br>

4.a.1.  8006, LtCol, Battalion Officer: serve in the Brigade of Midshipmen as the senior officer advisor to a midshipmen battalion.`2 Position requires a post-command LtCol.<br>
4.a.2.  8006, Maj, Staff Director: serve as the Director of the Commandant of Midshipments staff.  Intermediate-level school completion preferred.<br>
4.a.3.  8006, Capt-Maj, Deputy Training Officer: assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of professional training in support of the Brigade of Midshipmen.<br>
4.a.4.  8006, Capt, Executive Assistant: serve as the Executive Assistant to the Academic Dean.<br>
4.a.5.  8006, Capt-Maj, Leadership and Ethics Instructor.<br>
4.a.6.  8006, Capt-Maj, Leadership and Ethics Instructor.<br>
4.a.7.  8006, Capt-Maj, German Instructor: serve as a Language Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division.  German speaker with an L2+/R2+ DLPT proficiency and Masters degree in a related subject preferred.<br>
4.a.8.  8006, Capt-Maj, Russian Instructor: serve as a Language Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division.  Russian speaker with L2+/R2+ DLPT proficiency and Masters degree in a related subject preferred.<br>
4.a.9.  8006, Capt-Maj, Cyber Instructor: serve as an instructor in the USNA Cyber Center.  Cyber-related degree and/or experience preferred.<br>
5.  MMOA will release a results MARADMIN after the selection panel concludes.<br>
