FY17-01 Marine Corps Systems Command (MASS) O6 Panel Selection Results

This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY17-01 Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) O6 Panel selection for Portfolio Manager and Deputy Portfolio Manager Key Leadership Positions and Commanding Officer Critical Acquisition Positions. Four colonels were selected for Portfolio Manager positions, four civilians for Deputy Portfolio Manager positions, and one colonel for Commanding Officer of Marine Aviation Detachment, with most positions starting around June 1, 2017.

1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the results of the FY17-01 MASS O6 Panel.  Ref A authorizes Commander, Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) to conduct a competitive process to screen and slate Marine Acquisition Officers (PMOS 8061-Ground 8059-Aviation) to positions within and to ground and aviation commands performing significant acquisition missions, previously selected by the Marine Corps Acquisition Command Selection Board.  Through a highly competitive MASS panel process, Marine Corps Systems Command provides all eligible applicants with a fair and equitable opportunity to compete.  Ref B identified eligibility criteria and solicited applicants for the FY17-01 MASS O6 Panel.<br>
2.  On 26 September 16, The Commander, MCSC convened the FY17-01 MASS O6 Panel to select four Portfolio Manager (PfM) and four Deputy Portfolio Manager (DPfM) Key Leadership Positions (KLP) and specified Commanding Officer Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP).  The panel consisted of General Officers and Senior Executive Service members from DON acquisition organizations and Headquarters Marine Corps stakeholder organizations.  The quality of applicants considered reaffirms that the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Systems Command continues to produce and promote leaders of the highest caliber.  Accordingly, PfM Command Element Systems (CES), PfM Ground Combat Element Systems (GCES), PfM Logistics Combat Element Systems (LCES), and PfM Support Establishment Systems (SES), command equivalent, selections are announced (read in three columns):<br>

3.  Military selectees are to accept via email to the MSG POC within (ten) calendar days of release of this message.  Officers who decline must submit declination in writing (AA form) via first General Officer in chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) within (ten) calendar days of message release.<br>
