FY21 Olmsted Scholar Program Nomination Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY21 Olmsted Scholar Program Selection Board, which selected six Marine officers for further consideration by the Olmsted Foundation. The selected officers' applications will be forwarded to the Olmsted Foundation for final selection in March 2021, and those not selected will be considered qualified alternates for other programs.

1. Purpose. To announce the results of the FY21 Olmsted Scholar Program (OSP) Selection Board.
2. The board met on 8 September 2020 and selected six officers for further consideration for the OSP. Those officers selected will have their applications forwarded to the Olmsted Foundation for further evaluation. The Olmsted Foundation will make final selection in March 2021.

The officers selected by the Olmsted Scholar Foundation sponsored board will be notified by the points of contact and separate correspondence. Those officers not selected for the OSP will be considered qualified alternates for other programs as determined by MMOA-3.
4. Once selected by the Olmsted Foundation, officers must agree not to tender resignation or request retirement while enrolled in the program. Officers must further agree to remain on active duty after completion of the OSP requirements or upon separation from the program for any other reason. Service obligations incurred for this program are in accordance with the references.
5. Selected officers for the OSP will be contacted by Marine Corps University (MCU) to confirm acceptance, to provide assistance with the completion of Olmsted Scholar Program applications and the selection process.
6. Selections are contingent on the Olmsted Scholar Foundation sponsored board. Report dates and orders will be coordinated through MMOA-3. Foreign language training will be coordinated through MCU.
7. Upon reporting to administrative units, officers will coordinate fitness report and accountability procedures.
8. This MARADMIN is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
