Announcement of the CY-2025 USMC Civilian Human Resources Community Awards for Excellence Winners
This MARADMIN announces the winners of the Calendar Year 2025 USMC Civilian Human Resources Community Awards for Excellence, recognizing civilian HR professionals for their exceptional contributions during CY 2024. Winners include Coreyanne McNaulty (Rising Star), Mara L. Getsy (HR Practitioner of the Year), and the Civilian Human Resources Offices at Camp Lejeune (HRO of the Year).

1. Purpose. To announce the winners of the Calendar Year (CY) 2025 USMC Civilian Human Resources (HR) Community Awards for Excellence, in recognition for the accomplishments and contributions of Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Civilian Human Resources professionals during CY 2024. 2. Background. The Deputy Commandant (DC) of Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) has established and solicited nominations for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Civilian HR Community Awards for Excellence, to recognize civilian employees in the HR community for their contribution (s) and/or accomplishment (s) that resulted in exceptional impact and improvement to services, processes, or practices for the USMC. 3. The recipients of this year's awards, recognized for excellence in their respective categories, are as follows: 3.a. Coreyanne McNaulty from Human Resources and Organizational Management Branch, Quantico, Virginia is the winner of the Rising Star. 3.b. Mara L. Getsy from Civilian Human Resources Office Camp Lejeune, North Carolina is the winner of the HR Practitioner of the Year. 3.c. Civilian Human Resources Office Camp Lejeune (APF) and Human Resources Office (HRO) Camp Lejeune, New River, and Albany (NAF) are the winners of the HRO of the Year. 4. Individual commanders and/or HR directors are encouraged to recognize employees who are selected for the CY 2025 Civilian HR Community Awards for Excellence, with an award certificate at a formal awards ceremony. Civilian Workforce Management Branch in M&RA, Manpower Plans and Policy Division will provide the award certificate to the supported commands. Additionally, commands and HR directors are encouraged to recognize the award recipients with On-the-Spot, Special Act, or Time-off awards. 5.
