Change 1 to the Board to Select Nominees to Be Considered as the 16th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps
This MARADMIN provides additional information for the board selecting nominees for the 16th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps. The board will interview the top five Sergeants Major selected as best qualified, with 24 hours notice provided prior to interviews. Eligible Sergeants Major must ensure their telephone contact information is correct in MCTFS by December 14, 2006.

1. THIS CHANGE PROVIDES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE SUBJECT BOARD FOR THOSE SERGEANTS MAJOR DESIRING TO BE CONSIDERED TO BE THE 16TH SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE MARINE CORPS. AS SUCH, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED. 2. AFTER CAREFULLY CONSIDERING THE RECORDS OF ALL ELIGIBLE SERGEANTS MAJOR, THE BOARD WILL CONDUCT AN INTERVIEW WITH THE TOP FIVE (5) SERGEANTS MAJOR SELECTED BY THE BOARD AS THE BEST QUALIFIED TO SERVE AS 16TH SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE MARINE CORPS. EVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO PROVIDE THE TOP FIVE (5) SERGEANTS MAJOR SELECTED, 24 HOURS NOTICE PRIOR TO THE BOARD CONDUCTING THE INTERVIEW. 3. FOR THOSE MARINES DESIRING TO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR TELEPHONE CONTACT INFORMATION IS CORRECT IN THE MARINE CORPS TOTAL FORCES SYSTEM (MCTFS). IF IT IS NOT CORRECT, YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE THE APPROPRIATE ENTRY IS MADE IN MCTFS OR SEND THE INFORMATION AS UPDATE MATERIAL TO THE BOARD NLT 2359, 14 DECEMBER 2006. ALL OTHER PROVISIONS IAW THE REF REMAINS THE SAME.
