FY24 Marine Barracks Washington Panel Results
This MARADMIN announces the selection results for officers assigned to Marine Barracks Washington (MBW) for Fiscal Year 2024. Thirteen officers across various ranks (Major to First Lieutenant) and military occupational specialties were selected to serve at the nation's oldest Marine Corps post, supporting ceremonial and security missions in Washington, D.C. Selected officers must report no later than 31 May 2024 and must accept or decline their selection by 7 December 2023.

1. Marine Barracks Washington (MBW), the Oldest Post in the Corps, requires high caliber individuals to support ceremonial and security missions in the nation's capital. During October 2023, a panel comprised of staff from Manpower Management Officer Assignments (MMOA) and MBW met to select officers for assignment to billet vacancies during FY24.<br>

3. This message serves as notification of orders for officers listed in paragraph 2. The report window for the above selected officers is NLT 31 May 2024. Officers with the ability or desire to report sooner must reach out to their PMOS monitor immediately regarding early report windows.<br>
3.a. Officers selected as primaries who have not yet accepted Career Designation (CD) will be offered CD in conjunction with this assignment. Retention & Release Officer (RRO), MMOA-3 will notify all officers being offered CD via Marine Online (MOL). Officers offered CD must accept or decline the offer by responding to the MOL message NLT 2359 7 December 2023. Officers who do not respond to this offer by the deadline will be considered as having declined CD and will execute their existing EAS.<br>
3.b. Officers must contact their PMOS monitor to accept or decline their selection to MBW NLT 2359 7 December 2023.<br>
3.c. Once an officer acknowledges their selection they are subject to reference (b) and (c).<br>
3.d. There is no deferral of selection.<br>
3.e. Declinations. Only officers whose obligated service ends prior to their report date, or officers who have not yet accepted CD are able to decline their selection. Officers eligible to decline have until 2359 7 December 2023 to decline their selection. Officers who decline the offer of CD in conjunction with this panel selection will execute their current EAS IAW MCO 1001.65A. Officers who elect to decline their selection are deemed as resigning in lieu of orders. Officers who resign in lieu of orders will exit the service NLT the last day of the month they were required to report to their future unit. Officers choosing to resign in lieu of orders will exit the service NLT 31 May 2024.<br>
