Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Reserve Affairs Personnel Management (RAM) Branch Command Visit ISO Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
This MARADMIN announces a Fiscal Year 2024 Reserve Affairs Personnel Management (RAM) Branch command visit to Marine Forces Reserve units at MARCORSPTFAC New Orleans from 5-7 December 2023. The visit will include senior leader engagements and individual monitor interviews to address manpower issues and assist Marines with career decisions. Affected units must assign Unit Coordinators to facilitate planning and scheduling.

1. From 5–7 December 2023, RAM will visit designated commands at MARCORSPTFAC New Orleans, LA to conduct senior leader engagements (SLEs) and monitor interviews to address manpower related issues and assist Marines in making well-informed career decisions.<br>

a. Briefs. Briefs will be provided to the Unit Coordinators for dissemination within their commands. Marines are encouraged to view briefs for information on assignment processes, career progression within the Active Reserve (AR) program, and manpower programs and policies. SLEs will be coordinated via SEPCOR with the Unit Coordinators.<br>
b. Individual Interviews. Individual interviews with monitors will be scheduled through Unit Coordinators. Interviews may be conducted via phone and Microsoft Teams as a redundant form of communication. Unit Coordinators will be provided scheduling templates and guides for communication systems for all Marines with planned interviews. Marines in supported units are encouraged to contact their command's Unit Coordinator to schedule interviews.<br>
3. RAM Command Visit Requests<br>
a. RAM will only execute one HQMC funded visit to MARCORSPTFAC NOLA. Unit Commanders and Inspector-Instructors (I-I) may request virtual or in-person monitor visits to conduct SLEs, interviews, and to energize retention actions in targeted PMOSs. These visits can be requested by completing the CMC (RAM) Command Visit Request on the Manpower and Reserve Affairs website. You may also contact any of the message POCs to have a link to the form emailed to you.<br>
b. Requests for monitor visits should be submitted NLT 90 days prior to the first day of the requested visit. Requested RAM Command Visits are unit funded.<br>
4. Support Requirements<br>
a. The supported units listed in paragraph 2 must each assign a Unit Coordinator. Unit Coordinators will execute detailed planning via separate correspondence with the RAM Command Visit Coordinator MSgt Maley, William.<br>
b. Host commands will provide adequate facilities and communication assets to support key leader engagements and monitor interviews as needed.<br>
5. Upon release of this message, hosting command Unit Coordinators shall contact the RAM Command Visit Coordinator to facilitate future planning. Network access requirements will be coordinated separately with HQ Bn, MARCORSPTFAC.<br>
