January 2025 Promotions for Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) and February 2025 Planned Promotions for SNCOs
This MARADMIN announces January 2025 promotions for Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) and provides projected promotion numbers for February 2025. It directs commanders to effect promotions for selected Marines beginning 1 January 2025 and provides detailed promotion statistics for FY 2024 and FY 2025 SNCO promotion lists across various grades including Staff Sergeant, Gunnery Sergeant, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Master Gunnery Sergeant, and Sergeant Major.

1. Upon receipt of this Marine Administrative
Message (MARADMIN) and posting of the notification via Marine On
Line (MOL), but not prior to 1 January 2025, Commanders will
effect the promotion of selected Marines per paragraph 5100 of
reference (a). Cite this MARADMIN as authority for promotion.
2. For additional details regarding Obligated Service (OBS),
Sequenced Professional Military Education (PME), and Commander
requirements visit the Enlisted Promotions website at

3. The numbers listed below indicate the senior number promoted the
previous month and the total number of Marines being promoted for
the current month per reference (b). Numbers may not always add up
due to noncompetitive selections (Warrant Officer, Marine Corps
Enlisted Commissioning Education Program selects; assigned a
seniority number with an alpha letter), discharges, and promotion
restrictions.
