Solicitation for Nominees for Headquarters Marine Corps Installations and Logistics LB (Contracts) Acquisition Excellence Awards for Fiscal Year 2025
This MARADMIN solicits nominations for the Headquarters Marine Corps Installations and Logistics (DC I&L) Acquisition Excellence Awards for Fiscal Year 2025, which recognize Marines and civilians in the Marine Corps Field Contracting System for exemplary performance. Seven award categories are available, including five individual awards and two team awards, with candidate summaries due by January 9, 2026, and full nomination packages due by February 9, 2026.

1. Purpose. This MARADMIN solicits nominees for the Deputy Commandant Installation and Logistics fiscal year 2025 Acquisition excellence awards (AEA). The AEA program recognizes both Marines and Civilians within Marine Corps Field Contracting System (MCFCS) for their exemplary performance. The AEA program includes seven awards recognizing excellence in both individual and team contracting performance. A board of Senior Civilians, Senior Officers and Senior Enlisted Advisors will convene in February 2026 To review nominations and forward recommendations to the Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics for approval. 2. Mission: to recognize MCFCS Marines and Civilians that have displayed exemplary service, exceptional operational and management skills, team leadership, and superior technical skills within the Contracting Community. 3. The established award categories: 3.a. Individual awards: -Rising Star Award -Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) professional of the year -Government-wide commercial purchase card (GCPC) acquisition program coordinator of the year -Acquisition professional of the year -Chief of the Contracting Office (CCO) leader of the year 3.b. Team awards: -Expeditionary contracting professionals of the year -DC I&L Regional Contracting Office (RCO) of the year 4. Execution: Candidate summaries are due to Assistant Deputy Commandant LB (Contracts) via message Points of Contact no later than 09 January 2026. Commands will be notified of candidate summaries warranting full nomination packages no later than 26 January 2026. Full nomination packages including General Officer Endorsement must be submitted no later than 09 February 2026. 5. Concept of Operation. The following prerequisites shall be considered when selecting nominees for endorsement: 5.a. Except for the GCPC APC of the year award, nominees must be currently assigned to a contracting activity under the DC IL HCA, And working in a GS- 1102, MOS 3006 or MOS 3044 capacity. 5.b. Nominees for the GCPC APC of the year must be currently Assigned to an activity under the DC IL HCA GCPC APC Hierarchy. 5.c. Nominee must be of a grade or rank identified within one of The seven AEA awards. 5.d. Nominee must display exemplary professional and personal Standards. 5.e. The award period encompasses those actions occurring within FY25. Actions beginning prior to FY25 and/or continuing past FY25 are eligible for consideration and may be submitted for award. 6.
