New Service School Codes for Special Technical Operations Training
This MARADMIN establishes two new Service School Codes (SSCs) for Special Technical Operations training: KXI for the PDAS Operators Course and KXJ for the STO Planner's Course. Marines who have completed these courses must submit EPARs to their local Installation Personnel Administration Center to record their qualifications, which will help identify personnel qualified for the 8016 Free Military Occupational Specialty and support STO operations.

1. In coordination with Training and Education Command (TECOM), HQMC Special Technical Operations (STO) created two new Service School Codes (SSCs). These SSCs allow students who earned Planning and Decision Aid System (PDAS) Operators Course and/or the STO Planner's Course (STOPC) certificates to record their training in their Basic Training Record via the Electronic Personnel Administrative Records (EPAR) process. Once uploaded and recorded, the STO community and appropriate planners will have the ability to evaluate qualifications for material contribution to STO and the 8016 Free Military Occupational Specialty (FMOS). 2. Marines are instructed to submit EPARs to their local Installation Personnel Administration Center with the appropriate SSC. 2.a. PDAS Operators Course code is KXI. 2.b. STO Planner's Course (school agnostic) code is KXJ. 3. Commanders are encouraged to utilize Marines with this training in accordance with reference (a) to provide material contribution to service STO efforts through exercise support, wargaming, and crisis and contingency operations. 4. Questions concerning the Special Technical Operations Planner 8016 FMOS can be directed to the POCs above. 5. Release authorized by BGen Simon M. Doran, Director, Strategy and Plans Division, Plans, Policies and Operations, Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps.
