1. The Commandant's Retention Program (CRP) recognizes our most talented first term Marines by offering them a streamlined reenlistment process along with meaningful incentives to stay Marine and continue our legacy. The Marines selected for the CRP represent the very best in performance and professional competency. These Marines have embodied the whole Marine concept throughout their enlistments, placing themselves in the top echelons of their Primary Military Occupational Specialties (PMOS).

2. Lateral Moves. The following PMOSs are open to lateral move for the Fiscal Year 2025 FTAP cohort beginning on 1 January 2024: 0211, 0321, 0372, 1751, 2336, 3044, 5821, and 7316. Marines do not have to be listed under paragraph 4 below to apply.

3. The Commandant of the Marine Corps takes great pleasure in congratulating the Marines listed below as selectees for the CRP. 5. Coordinating Instructions

5.a. Unit career planners will work with CRP selectees to facilitate reenlistment through an abbreviated submission process. Local commands may not establish additional administrative requirements to the abbreviated process. CRP requests will be submitted to CMC (MMEA) between 1 January 2024 and 31 March 2024.

5.b. All reenlistments executed under CRP will be credited towards the FY25 Command Retention Mission as outlined in reference (b).

5.c. Commanders will make positive contact with all Marines selected for CRP within their units and develop a plan for formal recognition.

5.d. CRP approvals are conditional based upon Marines being qualified per reference (c) and recommended by their Commanding Officer. The role and responsibilities of the Commanding Officer in the successful execution of the CRP cannot be overstated. If a Marine listed in paragraph 4 is not recommended by their Commanding Officer, then that Marine is no longer eligible for this program and must submit for reenlistment under the First Term Alignment Program (FTAP) window listed in reference (b).

5.e. CRP selectees can review the MMEA Dashboard or contact their monitors for the most up to date list of units available for assignment. CMC (MMEA) will make every effort to assign selectees to one of the top five assignments listed in their requests.

5.f. Specific guidance regarding the administrative steps for processing and accepting a CRP reenlistment, as well as applications for lateral move, can be found in reference (b), the Total Force Retention System, and on the Manpower & Reserve Affairs website at https://www.manpower.usmc.mil/webcenter/portal/ER/MMEA-1.

6. Congratulations to all Marines selected for this distinction. Please direct questions to your career planner or the points of contact listed above.
