1. This MARADMIN announces the FY24 HQMC Special Duty Assignment (SDA) Roadshow from 23 January 2023 to 9 February 2023. The primary purpose of the SDA Roadshow is to encourage Marines to volunteer for a SDA prior to the publication of the Headquarters Marine Corps SDA Screening Team (HSST) list on 1 March 2023. The Roadshow will allow volunteers to be screened by the SDA monitors during their visit and discuss all options for SDA volunteers.
2. From 23 January 2023 to 9 February 2023, SDA Monitors will conduct two briefs per location to increase awareness and encourage Marines to volunteer for a special duty assignment of their choice. These assignments include Recruiting Duty, Drill Instructor Duty, and Marine Security Guard (MSG) Detachment Commander Duty, and will also include discussions involving assignments to Combat Instructor Duty, which is a Type 1 screenable billet. Following the briefs, the monitors will screen packages for volunteers per reference (a). Marines interested in volunteering are encouraged to complete their volunteer packages prior to the brief for on the spot screening. Commands are encouraged to have their Marines' packages submitted in the Total Force Retention System (TFRS) via their unit Career Planner before their corresponding base/station's road show date.
