Fiscal Year 2024 Combat Mission Team Command Screening Board Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2024 Combat Mission Team Command Screening Board, which convened on 19 December 2023. Two officers were selected as primary selectees for command of Combat Mission Teams (CMT-3 and CNMT-1), and two officers were selected as alternates. Primary selectees must accept or decline their selection by 15 January 2024.

1. The Fiscal Year 2024 Combat Mission Team Command Screening Board convened on 19 December 2023. One general officer and six colonels screened the records of all eligible officers who applied for assignment to two commands.<br> 2. Command screening ensures that Marines receive the best possible leadership while providing all eligible applicants with a fair and equitable opportunity to compete for command. This board considered officers for command of units which are an integral component of our cyberspace force, and as such selected only those officers who met the standard of best and fully qualified for duty with the Cyber National Mission Force.<br> 3. MMOA-3 will place a letter annotating selection in the official military personnel files of all officers selected as primaries or alternates.<br> 4. Coordinating instructions<br> 4.a. Primary selectees. Primary selectees are to accept or decline via email to their monitor listed in paragraph (5) NLT 15 Jan 2024.<br> 4.b. Alternate selectees. No action is required by alternate selectees. If a command becomes vacant due to a declination or other extenuating circumstances, Manpower Management will fleet-up an officer from the alternate list.<br> 4.c. Declinations. Officers who decline command must submit a declination in writing (AA Form) via the first general officer in their chain of command addressed to HQMC via MMOA-3 NLT 15 Jan 2024. Officers who decline command are ineligible for future command, unless otherwise approved by the Director, Manpower Management.<br> 4.d. Deferrals. Officers selected for command who are unable to execute orders due to extraordinary circumstances may request a deferral. If approved, the Director, Manpower Management will defer the officer to a future command screening board. Primary selectees may submit a deferral request in writing (AA Form) via the first general officer in their chain of command addressed to HQMC via MMOA-3 NLT 15 Jan 2024.<br> 4.e. Following receipt of orders, officers must promptly complete a Counterintelligence-Polygraph prior to orders execution, have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) or have a Tier 5 investigation for SCI adjudication open, and complete additional MARFORCYBER security paperwork. Officers will be assigned a MARFORCYBER command sponsor to assist with onboarding.
