Awards Update
This MARADMIN provides an update to Marine Corps unit awards since MARADMIN 469/21, authorizing Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, Navy Unit Commendations, and Humanitarian Service Medals for various Marine Corps units and personnel who served in joint operations, task forces, and humanitarian missions worldwide. The awards cover service periods primarily from 2016 through 2021 across multiple theaters including Afghanistan, Iraq, Central Command, and various joint commands.

Personnel must be assigned and/or attached by official orders to the joint unit or task force headquarters receiving the JMUA. The commander of the unit cited may waive, on an individual basis, the 30-day minimum time requirement for individuals (reserve personnel on active duty and TDY and/or TAD personnel) who, in the opinion of the commander, contributed directly to the achievement cited, and were assigned on official orders to the awarded unit during the approved time period. 2.b.
