Cancellation of Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-30.5, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (MTTP) for Cordon and Search Operations
This MARADMIN announces the cancellation of Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-30.5, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Cordon and Search Operations, effective 9 October 2018. The publication is no longer necessary as its content has been incorporated into other doctrinal publications such as MCRP 3-30.7 and MCRP 3-10A.2.

1. The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration, (Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD)) has cancelled the following publication effective 9 Oct 2018: Marine Corps Doctrinal Publication MCRP 3-30.5, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (MTTP) for Cordon and Search Operations 0 dated August 2016. The CDD integrator, proponent, and publisher have determined that the relevant information is now readily available in other doctrinal publications.<br> 2. Background. MCRP 3-30.5 was a multi-Service doctrinal publication published jointly by the Marine Corps and the Air Land Sea Application Center (ALSA) intended to provide a guide to the essential elements of cordon and search operations. This multi-Service publication was cancelled by ALSA with four-Service approval. The material in this publication has migrated into several other ground combat doctrinal publications and a stand-alone publication is no longer necessary. See MCRP 3-30.7 Commanders Tactical Handbook and MCRP 3-10A.2 Infantry Company Operations.<br> 3. Coordinating Instructions. Capability Development Directorate (MAGTF Integration Division) will document this change in the next annual publication of MCBul 5603, Marine Corps Proponency Assignments, and will reflect this change on the Marine Corps doctrine website, https:(slash)(slash)doctrine.usmc.mil, and the SharePoint site https:(slash)(slash)ehqmc.usmc.mil/org/mccdc/cdd/mid/dcb/doct/default.aspx.<br> 4.
