Tactical Combat Casualty Care-Combat Medic/Corpsmen Implementation

1.  This message is to inform the Marine Corps of the Service-wide implementation of Tactical Combat Casualty Care-Combat Medic/Corpsmen (TCCC-CM/C) training in the United States Navy per Ref (A) beginning in the third quarter (3rd qtr) of fiscal year (FY) 2023.<br>
2.  TCCC-CM/C is a joint standardized certification being implemented within the United States Navy to Hospital Corpsmen ensuring lifesaving treatment can be rendered at the point of injury, improving the survivability of those wounded or injured in combat.<br>
3.  Per Ref (A) Navy Sailors will receive TCCC-CM/C training and certification during their Corpsmen "A" School in San Antonio, TX.<br>
4.  Requirement for re-certification of TCCC-CM/C is every three years or within 12 months prior to deployment as part of pre-deployment training per Ref (B); re-certification will be completed at the unit utilizing the Service-wide, standardized and approved curriculum per Ref (C).<br>
5.  Unit commanders will designate unit medical personnel for training and certification as the units' TCCC-CM/C trainers.  While there is no minimum requirement, student-to-instructor ratios should be maintained per Ref (b).  Commanders and TCCC-CM/C trainers will utilize the standardized and approved curriculum and are responsible for procuring training aids and resources at the DHA-sponsored deployed medicine website at Ref (B):  https:(slash)(slash)www.deployedmedicine.com.  Additional resources including training events, skill sets (terminal and enabling learning objectives), and skills assessments checklists are also available for download at Ref (B).<br>
6.  Per Ref (A), course completion will be entered into Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS) for proper recording, tracking, and administrative management.  The course identification number (CIN) B-300-2030 – TCCC Combat Medic/Corpsman will be used to document individual completion of TCCC-CM/C by Corpsmen "A" School upon completion of the DHA-approved curriculum.<br>
7.  TCCC-CM/C course completion will be entered into the Marine Corps Training Information Management (MCTIMS) Unit Training Management (UTM)/Individual Marine Management (IMM) Individual Training with the below service directed requirements and event codes.  <br>

8.  Per Ref (A), all Corpsmen going to shipboard sea duty, including the Surface Force Medical Indoctrination Course (CIN b-300-1000) will receive TCCC-CM/C refresher training (REFTRA) and will be documented in FLTMPS using the above (CIN) B-300-2030 – TCCC-Combat Medic/Corpsmen.<br>
9.  This MARADMIN serves as interim guidance until this direction is incorporated into a Marine Corps Bulletin and Marine Corps Order.<br>
