Overboots Authorized for Wear by Marines
This MARADMIN authorizes Marines to wear 12-inch black overboots (galoshes) in both field and garrison environments as directed by unit commanders for adverse weather conditions. Units may purchase these items through DOD EMALL or Tailored Logistics Support Program (TLSP) using unit funds.

1. The OVERBOOTS (Galoshes) identified in paragraph three of this message are an approved uniform item which may be worn by Marines both in the field and garrison. Per paragraph 1007 of the Reference A, "all uniform clothing, equipment, and accessories issued or sold by the Department Of Defense (DOD) supply system are considered regulation." The identified OVERBOOTS are authorized for wear as directed by unit commander for adverse conditions to include wet weather but do not provide any cold weather insulation. As the products are updated by the DOD supply system, any 12 inch, black OVERBOOT is authorized from the below available DOD sources. 2. The available DOD sources that units can use to purchase OVERBOOTS are DOD EMALL and Tailored Logistics Support Program(TLSP). 3.
