FY22 Commandant's Education Board - Olmsted and Advanced Degree Program Results

This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY22 Commandant's Education Board for officers selected to participate in the Olmsted Scholar Program and Advanced Degree Programs at civilian institutions. Seven officers were selected to interview for the Olmsted Scholar Foundation board in early 2022, four officers were selected for Advanced Degree Programs (Education and Historian disciplines), and four officers were selected for Advanced Civilian School Programs.

1.  The Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) Commandant's Education Board (CEB) convened on 7 September 2021 to select officers to participate in graduate education programs, fellowships and service professional military education.  Among these programs were several graduate education programs hosted at civilian institutions.<br>
2.  Purpose.  The purpose of this message is to publish the results of selected programs in advance of the conventional CPIB and CCLEB MARADMINS in order to allow increased lead time for post-board application submissions, interviews, and processing time.<br>
3.  Coordinating Instructions.<br>
3.a.  Headquarters Marine Corps will not normally accept deferrals. However, consideration will be given to those deployed and unable to execute orders.  Officers who fall into this category may request deferral in writing (AA Form) via the first general officer in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) no later than 7 January 2022.<br>
3.b.  Officers listed below who are not yet career designated will have the opportunity for career designation upon acceptance of orders.<br>
3.c.  Officers listed below who will screen on the CY22 Captains Promotion Board must be selected for promotion to retain their selection status.<br>
3.d.  Officers assigned to the Advanced Degree Programs will be immediately assigned to a utilization tour upon completion of their coursework.<br>

4.a.1.  Olmsted Scholar Program (read in two columns).  The officers listed below were selected by the CEB to interview for the Olmsted Scholar Foundation board in early 2022.  Final determination for Marine Corps Scholars will be made by the Olmsted Foundation.  Those chosen will be notified via separate correspondence. Those who are not selected as an Olmsted Scholar, will be assigned to other programs based on the officer's expressed preferences or available opportunities.<br>

The list will be posted alphabetically by full name and MOS.  No action is required by officers on this list.  If vacancies open from the primary slate, an available alternate will be notified by their primary MOS monitor or Graduate Education Manager to fleet up.<br>
