FY22 CNMT-1 and CMT-3 Command Selection Board Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY22 Combat National Mission Team 1 (CNMT-1) and Combat Mission Team 3 (CMT-3) command selection board held on November 16, 2021. Two officers were selected as team leaders to begin duty in summer 2022: Major Brent J. Cantrell (MOS 0602) for CNMT-1 and Major Joshua W. Connors (MOS 1702) for CMT-3. Selected officers must contact their monitors within two weeks and complete specific security and training requirements before assuming command.

1. Per ref (a), on 16 November 2021, the FY22 Combat National Mission Team 1 (CNMT-1) and Combat Mission Team 3 (CMT-3) command selection board convened to select officers for duty as team leaders beginning in the summer of 2022. 2. The board considered the records of all officers who applied against the requirements of the teams, individual career progression, competitiveness, and overall needs of the Marine Corps. As an integral component of our cyberspace force, only those officers who met the standard of best and fully qualified were selected for duty with the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF). 3. Selection board results. 3.a. Selection as team leaders. Name MOS Unit Cantrell, Brent J. 0602 CNMT-1 Connors, Joshua W. 1702 CMT-3 3.b. The list of officers selected as alternates will be published via the MMOA-3 "Board Updates and Information" webpage located at https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/webcenter/portal/MMOA3_BUI and then selecting the "CMT Board" link. The list will be posted alphabetically by full name and MOS. No action is required by officers on this list. If a team becomes vacant due to a declination or other circumstances, an approved alternate will be fleeted up from the prioritized alternate list. 4. Acceptance/declination. 4.a. Selected officers are directed to contact their PMOS monitor no later than two weeks following the release of this message regarding their selection. 4.b. All requests to decline selection must be made via naval correspondence with command endorsement. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 4.c. There is no deferral of selection. 4.d. Once an officer accepts their selection and receives orders they are subject to reference (b) and (c). 4.e. Following receipt of orders, officers must promptly complete a Counterintelligence-Polygraph prior to orders execution, have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) or have a Tier 5 investigation for SCI adjudication open, and complete additional MARFORCYBER security paperwork. Officers will be assigned a command sponsor to assist with on boarding. Selectees will be required to sign a Page 11 prior to assuming command that re-states their commitment to voluntarily request removal from command screening eligibility or other such boards that could result in a shorter than expected tenure (two years) as a commander. 5. Selected officers should complete Joint Cyberspace Operations Planners Course (JCOPC) and Joint Targeting Staff Course (JTSC) prior to PCSing or en route to MARFORCYBER.
