FY19 Marine Acquisition Officer Primary MOS (8059 and 8061) Selection Board Results

This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY19 Marine Acquisition Officer Primary MOS Selection Board for designators 8059 (Aviation) and 8061 (Ground). Nine aviation officers were selected for PMOS 8059, five ground officers were selected for PMOS 8061, and two alternates were selected for ground PMOS 8061. Selected officers must accept or decline their selection by January 18, 2019.

1.  The FY19 Marine Acquisition Officer Primary MOS (8059 and 8061) Selection Board convened on 14 November 2018 at Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Quantico, VA.  The following highly qualified Marine officers were selected as Marine Acquisition Officers (PMOS 8059 and 8061) in accordance with the references.  Note 1.  Transition to 8059 is approved but is postponed until a later date based on PMOS inventory shortages.

7.  All primary selectees are required to accept or decline their selection by email via their respective monitor NLT 18 January 2019.  Selectees who decline are required to submit their declination in writing via the chain of command to arrive at HQMC (MMOA) NLT 1 February 2019.  Declination letters are required to have a General Officer endorsement.  A letter acknowledging an officers declination of selection will be included in the officers OMPF.
8.  This MARADMIN is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
