Change 1 to Supplemental Guidance (2) to Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination of Marine Corps Active and Reserve Components

This MARADMIN modifies the reentry code for enlisted Marines separated solely for failure to comply with mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements, changing it from "RE-4" to "RE-3P." Marines previously separated with an RE-4 code may petition the Board for Correction of Naval Records to have their reentry code changed to RE-3P.

1.  This MARADMIN announces a change to the Supplemental Guidance (2) to Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination of Marine Corps Active and Reserve Components.<br>
2.  Change to reference (c).  Paragraph 8.b. is amended to change the reentry code of "RE-4" to reflect "RE-3P."  Paragraph 8.b. is modified to read "Enlisted Marines separated from active duty on the sole basis of failure to comply with MARADMIN 462/21 will receive a reentry code of "RE-3P" per ref (e).<br>
3.  Commanders shall document the assignment of an RE-3P reenlistment code with a page 11 counseling entry signed by both the Marine and the Commander per paragraph 4006.3.d. of reference (f).<br>
4.  Marines who have been separated on the sole basis of failure to comply with MARADMIN 462/21 and assigned a reentry code of "RE-4" prior to the release of this MARADMIN may petition the Board for Correction of Naval Records (BCNR) to change the reentry code of "RE-4" to "RE-3P" by sending a completed DD Form 149 to the BCNR at 701 South Courthouse Road, Building 12, Suite 1001, Arlington, VA 22204-2490.  BCNR will examine the Marine's record along with all evidence submitted, and forward its recommendation to the Secretary of the Navy.  To initiate an application for petition or to obtain additional information regarding the petition process, Marines are encouraged to review the BCNR website at www.donhq.navy.mil/bcnr/bcnr.htm.<br>
5.  This MARADMIN applies to the Total Force and is effective upon release.  Ensure widest dissemination.<br>
