Additional Items of Protective, Safety, or Health Equipment Eligible for Reimbursement

This MARADMIN adds five items to the DOD shortage list eligible for reimbursement when privately purchased by service members: summer weight gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, deltoid and axillary protectors, and side plate body armor, with reimbursement amounts ranging from $18 to $600 per item. All policy and guidance from the original MARADMIN 485-05 remains in effect, and service members can submit reimbursement claims through the designated points of contact.
